Abstract:

Objectives:Diagnosis of chronic leukocyte leukemia/small leukocyte cancer (CLL/SLL) depends on specific immunophenotype of choose antigens and their characteristic density. However, reports description however the expression of specific substance changes over time of malady course area unit thin. Methods: we have a tendency to known thirty seven CLL/SLL with initial and follow-up samples studied by flow cytometry. Expression levels of a panel of antigens were compared between initial and follow-up samples from a similar patients. Results: there's a major decrease within the CD23 density and within the proportion of CD23 positive cells, and a decrease within the density of CD5 within the follow-up samples. In distinction, a major increase within the density of HLA-DR substance was discovered within the follow-up. Conclusion: The expression of elect substance changes within the course of CLL/SLL. These alterations don't impact the identification of CLL/SLL supported the immunophenotype of follow-up samples and will not influence the power to work out token residual malady by flow cytometry. However, they'll probably influence the responsiveness to the antibody medical aid and will be more consistently evaluated.
